Easter Craft for Kiddos

Crafting can be fun and relaxing, but it’s even more fun to craft with the kiddos. We found a simple, fun, and inexpensive craft for Easter…Yarn Eggs! All you need is small water balloons (minus the water), different colors of pastel yarn, school glue, water, a bowl, a ruler, and scissors.

First step is to cut 8 foot lengths of yarn, in which 3 lengths will be used per ballon.

Next, you mix 1 cup of school glue with 1 cup of water and blow up the balloons.

Once you have the prep step complete then you are ready to create some eggs! Dip a length of yarn in the glue mixture. Ensure to saturate well, and to squeeze out the access (using the thumb and forefinger). Start wrapping the yarn around the balloon and make sure to tuck in the ends. Continue with 2 more yarn lengths.

See? Easy peasy!

After you have finished a balloon, put off to the side to dry. Note, drying does take a while and they needed to be turned. Ensure to give at least 2 days of drying.

After the eggs dry, then you pop the balloons… viola! Eggs are done!

Cute…right? Give it a try…tell us how they turned out!
