We initiated our business venture on May 5th, 2018, driven by a deep desire to create something extraordinary before our mother’s 50th birthday. Our intention was to throw her an unforgettable surprise party at a local fire hall, which was a spacious but rather plain venue, prompting us to explore ways to embellish it. However, before diving into the decorations, we needed to establish a thematic direction.
After careful consideration, we settled on a Willy Wonka theme and immediately set to work. Collaborating with our two other sisters, we crafted captivating backdrops featuring scenes from the movie, fashioned cardboard cutouts of Willy Wonka and the Oompa Loompas, and added the finishing touches to transform the venue. As we received requests from others to design their events, we contemplated the idea of turning our passion into a business. We wholeheartedly embraced the joy of our craft and the happiness it brought to people. Thus, the concept of Two Peas in a Party Pod was conceived.
